TESTIMONIALS

Our aim is to enable and encourage every child to develop to their full potential.

‘Nathaniel was diagnosed with cerebral palsy dipelgia when he was 18 months old. In May 2015 Nathaniel had the SDR (Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy) operation and we began looking for a Physiotherapist to help Nathaniel recover after the operation and help him reach his full potential. We met Sam who impressed us by her professionalism from the outset. Sam came and had an initial meeting with ourselves and then explained the treatment she could offer us. From the moment Nathaniel started working with Sam the results have been amazing! She has formed an excellent working relationship with Nathaniel and he enjoys each session which is fun and varied. There has been excellent communication between Nathaniel’s NHS physio which has helped to provide a continuity of care. Sam has always been available to answer any questions or concerns we have had. My husband and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Nathaniel – thank you Sam for your hard work and continued support.’

‘My son has a range of physical, social and emotional needs and Sam not only supports him with physiotherapy, she always does her best to use and adapt strategies to make sure he remains calm and engaged. She continually assess’ Joes needs and reacts appropriately – which is really not easy with a child with such complex issues as my sons. She supports our whole family in sessions and behind the scenes, in numerous ways: varying Joe’s exercises, training me to help and support Joe, assessing Joe’s current and future interventions/provisions, contacting numerous other professionals and agencies, running Joe’s EHCP, supporting myself and Joe’s emotional needs… the list goes on. Many of these things aren’t her job. She doesn’t have to spend her time supporting and reassuring me for example, but she does. She is one of the few professionals of many which support Joe, who never makes me feel we’re a burden or belittled. For us, she is a guardian angel and without her constant knowledge, support, professionalism and kindness I do not know what we would do. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this wonderful young woman – she is literally improving lives.’

‘We would highly recommend Sam as a private physio, especially since she is also an experienced NHS physio. She has supported Theo through post operative SDR therapy, and is highly researched in the procedure and post operative needs. She is so friendly and always punctual. Theo is always at ease and she is fantastic with children and also highly supportive and empathetic with me as a parent. I could not wish for a better physiotherapist for my son and neither could Theo.’

'I have had the pleasure of working with Sam for 3 years at the children's therapy centre, Kings mill Hospital . What I admire about Sam is that she is highly skilled and professional, but personable with both colleagues and clients alike. Sam's enthusiastic, friendly and fun manner motivates clients to engage during therapy sessions and she is usually heard having lots of fun during her appointments. Sam is attentive to her clients and has a unique ability to be able interact with a positive instructive manner to enable progress. She is able to share sensitive and complex information in an accessible way which enables a better understanding of a client's physical needs and how to better support them. Sam's individual aptitudes and commitment to learning and providing a high standard service would be valued when working with clients and other professionals alike.'

‘Our daughter has received excellent physio therapy from Chesterfield Children's Physiotherapy. From the beginning we have had a positive experience, from the first phone call onwards. Charlotte/our therapist found fun, engaging and creative ways to entice our daughter to do physiotherapy. We thought that it was impossible for her to enjoy physio but she is beginning to look forward to her sessions now. Charlotte is able to get the best from her and has gained her trust in a short period of time. The team are extremely professional and knowledgable and have given us the confidence that we are doing the best for our daughter. ’
